Review of Phantom Thread (2017) by Jesse D — 21 Jan 2018
You can't help but admire the exquisite beauty and attention to detail in Reynolds Woodcock's works of art. He's a very particular man and an interesting one at that. He's dreadfully sublime.
You find yourself addicted to his comedic banter and dark, tensioned romance with his muse, Alma. It's a captivating ensemble of characters that are not fully realized due to a lack of engaging drama in Anderson's newest film.
