A big, resounding NO!! I love Daniel Day-Lewis. I love period pieces... I did not like this at all. The story progression and the dialogue were just strange and, at certain points, awful. The leading lady's acting was not up to Daniel's level.
And the psychology of it all... what in the Freudian H-E-L-L happened? Those 2 lovers need serious mental therapy! That is not a love story, ladies and gentlemen.
