Review of Phantom of the Paradise (1974) by Rodsella A — 04 Jan 2009
I'm not sure what to say about this since I'm really not sure what to make of it. Was it brilliant or terrible? A little of both? It is sure is campy as hell, but the music is actually pretty good and, visually, it's magnificent.
The best description I can come up with is Rocky Horror with a better director and more aspiration. So make of that what you will.
