Review of Phantom of the Opera (1943) by Dalton N — 01 Jul 2012
Decently entertaining for the first act, but the interest drops off so quickly it is definately noticable. The acting is being held up by Rains, as it seems he is the only one with character. However the film looks nice, and the story changes aren't too terrible, it is certainly passable for the phantoms first swipe at a talky.
