Review of Phantasm (1979) by Max M — 27 Dec 2013
In the 70's there were several horror films that were known for their atmospheric terror Halloween,Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Phantasm which they also have in common is that the acting is believable and decent for a horror film.
The plot of Phantasm is about two brothers after the death of their parents and recently their friend Toby who was killed by the mysterious tall man in disguise of a woman in lavender and so during the funeral the youngest brother Mike played by A.
Michael Baldwin witnesses something strange after the funeral and that is Toby's casket being taken by the Tall Man played by Angus Scrimm. Phantasm is overall a well done horror film directed by Don Coscarelli,Phantasm also has decent acting for a horror flick like this, and Phantasm also has a decent screenplay that makes Phantasm overall a well done horror flick that has a scary atmosphere and it also makes you think.
