Pete's Dragon was my favorite movie as a child and I have been looking forward to this movie for months. The negative comments I've seen have been because it didn't follow exactly as the original.

Which is true. This movie doesn't follow the original movie storyline, but why would we pay to go see the EXACT same movie again? Did you not expect some changes? I rarely say this about a movie and I certainly didn't expect to say it about my favorite childhood movie, this remake was better than the original.

Elliott is my favorite Disney character, and I absolutely love this new version of him. If you loved the original, give this one a chance.
