I'm no fan of the original, it annoyed me. If this were to come out of a Disney company that is genuine about creating a good product and improving on old movies that failed, this would have been so much better.

As it is it's part of the cash cow of shameless remakes. It's better than Cinderella and Maleficent so I won't be too hard on it. OK 1 thing, Elliot looks like Falcor went swimming in Florida!
