Review of Pete's Dragon (2016) by Bily T — 25 Nov 2016
Pete's Dragon is not the best movie Disney has released this year but it's no way the worst thing they've released. Now Pete's Dragon is a live action reboot of their very old live action film that came out after the death of Walt Disney himself (The person not the company) and I never saw the original but from clips that I saw it looked like Mary Poppins but in the western times and with a hand drawn animated Dragon.
This film has an average story, average characters, good set of cast members, okay CGI, music that sounds like it came from Pixar's The Good Dinosaur and average jokes not funny but funny at the same time.
I don't know if I should recommend you watching this movie it's not terrible as other Disney films like Alice Through the Looking Glass, Frozen and all the crappy direct to video/DVD sequels but it's not the best thing to come out from them like Zootropolis, Wreck it Ralph, The Jungle Book and Big Hero 6. So it's in the middle of some of Disney's average movies like Meet the Robinson's and 2010's Alice in Wonderland.
I give Pete's Dragon a 5.0 out of 10 not the best movie but not the worst if you do want to watch it I'd give it at least one watch before deciding if you'd want to watch it again.
