Walt Disneyâ(TM)s Peteâ(TM)s Dragon (1977) is definitely a family classic.

I really enjoy just a little bit of the humor and excitement that this file has.The mix of live action and animation, I thought could be more realistic and have more imagination as I am used to coming from Disney. At times I lose my interest but it sparks again with a couple of great songs. Although the Dragon is getting on Peteâ(TM)s nerves, Pete still loves and cares for him which is really nice. He likes and trusts his friend the Dragon.

Peteâ(TM)s Dragon is about an orphan boy, Pete (Sean Marshall) and his magical dragon, Elliot (voice of Charlie Callas). They come to town with his abusive adoptive parents chasing after them. Finally upon their arrival to town they meet some new friends and unwanted enemies. What an adventure as this Dragon is causing much confusion and turmoil.

Don Chaffey directs Peteâ(TM)s Dragon and also stars Helen Reddy and Jim Dale. Good job on restoring this classic film.

I believe older ages will be uninterested with the film; however the younger kids will definitely enjoy it so Iâ(TM)m recommending Peteâ(TM)s Dragon for ages 5 to 10.

Overall, I give Peteâ(TM)s Dragon 3 out of 5 stars because it was somewhat unrealistic and too long, but still has some action and a little adventure that can be enjoyable.

Tune into Peteâ(TM)s Dragon as it will be playing all month on HDnet Movies Kids Scene.
