I never read the books as a kid or anything like that, so as a movie I really enjoyed it. I found it an amusing movie that I don't mind watching a third time. I seemed to have enjoyed it as much as the elderly couple behind me in the theatre.
I don't need a complex plot to make me feel like I just watched a good/decent movie.
