We found this movie to be your topical slapstick comedy. Yes this film was designed for little kids but we found it so funny. It was more on the lines of pranks from animals who are fighting to survive in this world.
In other words a very funny film that keeps you smiling. Like patch adams would say that laughter is the best medicine.
