A masterpiece, plain and simple. Gorgeous stop-motion animation and a beautiful rendition of and twist on the traditional story. The moments of quiet and stillness are perfect--this is Peter and the Wolf as spiritual cinema.
This is the single best way to experience Prokofiev's music--the film employs the music and expands upon it. Extraordinarily beautiful and moving.
