Review of Pet Sematary II (1992) by Jason J — 20 Jul 2010
Slightly better than the first movie and with more gore. The acting apart from Clancy Brown as the sadistic sheriff was abysmal especially from Edward Furlong. The story is basically a retread of the original - pet dog dies, gets put six foot under in the indian burial ground and comes back as a zombie devil hound.
More people this time round come back as zombies which is why the gore scenes are increased. I guess the gore scenes were the only good parts in the movie - everything else was crap. I can't believe Mary Lambert was even asked to direct the sequel considering she botched up the first Pet Sematary and made it unintentionally funny.
This movie isn't worth your time and effort to watch.
