Review of Pet Sematary (2019) by Luwoo75 — 06 Apr 2019

Believe it or not I actually like this remake better than the original. In my oninion the original Pet Sematary was a good movie, but it was flawed due to basically no character development. The original just didn't show me enough depth of character that allowed me to believe that a grown man would bury his child in that cemetery to bring them back from the dead.

This version did that there was several flashbacks from the Mother's past about her sister that gave you some sympathy for her as the movie progresses. Where this move fails is the pacing. We can see that the director is trying to create suspense through longer drawn out scenes but it seems there could have been another method.
