Review of Pet Sematary (1989) by Trent C — 08 Mar 2009
One of the best Stephen King adaptations, probably due in part to the fact that King did the screenplay himself. The fact that a woman directs a movie with this subject matter also probably made the film better than it had a right to be.
The only bad acting comes from the child actor that plays Gage, but that's to be expected from a three year old. It's a heartbreaking movie and a bit uncomfortable to sit through. It is truly frightening, which can't be said about 95% of horror films.
