Review of Pet Sematary (1989) by Jason R — 03 May 2012
The book is one of the scariest things I've ever read. The movie naturally can't get into the characters' heads like the book does, but a few missing creepy elements from the book aside, this movie does justice to it.
It has a tone that feels hopelessly dark from the opening scene, and it never lightens up for a second. The book and the movie are both solid versions of one of the most disturbing pure horror stories ever told.
