Review of Pet Sematary (1989) by Zack P — 16 Jun 2010
This is the best movie I have seen. Ever. The characters develop really nicely so you get a feel for Gage as well as Louis. This also happens to be my favorite book, and being a Stephen King fanatic, this is better than classics like Misery and The Shawshank Redemtion.
This sets the gold standard for horror/suspense movies. This movie follows the book pretty well, and is worth watching. Miko (Gage) is a great actor, even at three. Victor Pascow brought depth to the storyline and helps you understand the emotional tention that Louis has after Gage is dead.
This movie makes me amazed, even after seeing it 5 times. Do not see the sequel, though, it is the equivelent to ripping your eyes out with spoons. All and all, Pet Sematary gets an A+ from me, and I encourage watching it.
10/10.
