Review of Pet Sematary (1989) by Johnny F — 12 Jul 2010
Pet Semetary is dark, disturbing and provides an extremely distressing take on death and bereavement within' family life. The movie contains a lot of terror and a continous amount of shocks although the death count is low and the majority of death sequences are unseen to the viewer.
I understand that the film is a horror and is genuinely scary but both director Mary Lambert and screen play writer Stephen King manage to make such a powerful film and succeed in building up overwhelming emotion that proves to strain your heart muscles resulting in a high amount of depression and tears! However, any movie that can cause the audience to feel emotions soo strong is well worth watching.
