Review of Pet Sematary (1989) by Hunter B — 05 Jun 2010
Okay. I have just finished watching PET SEMATARY. This is one f--ked up movie. I read the book before I saw the movie, and found I was a little disappointed the a lot of events in the book didn't make it to the movie.
Also, it seemed a bit rushed. But, this is still a really good movie. Almost everybody's acting is great, the only person who wasn't that good was the guy who played Victor Pascow. Everyone else is pretty good.
And because of that, you feel for the characters. Which makes the events of the movie so much harder to watch. The scares are really scary in this movie, especially during the last 30 minutes. I am warning you now, do not see this movie if there is a small child in the room, or if you get scared easily.
Oh, I almost forgot. The cat is f--king scary. (!SPOILER ALERT!) How did they do resurrected Gage's scenes? Either this kid is the world's best child actor, or they used the world's most realistic looking puppet.
Anyway, PET SEMATARY gets an 8 out of 10. ("Somtimes dead...is better"-Jud).
