Holy hell what a film! That opening scene knocked me on my ass and I never recovered. After it was over I felt like every image was burned in my brain. You see movies like this and you feel so overwhelmed by how brilliant Bergman was as both a writer and director.
Ullman and Andersson give amazing performances and the cinematography is outstanding.
