Review of Persona (1966) by Adam K — 15 Apr 2009
For a film with so much dialogue and not much action, it is images that stay with me after viewing it, a testament to Bergman's storytelling. The acting carries this film because that is what it calls for, it is an examination into 'persona', the feelings and emotions that make up ourself.
The plot is filled with mystery that I'm not sure I'll ever figure out, yet I want to see it again and again to try and figure it out anyway. I'm not sure whether it changed my life or ruined it.
