Review of Persona (1966) by Shelly — 13 Oct 2009
This is my kind of Bergman film. Like Hour of the Wolf but unlike Seventh Seal, Persona has the organic, poetic, neurotic, intricate structure that I idolize Bergman for. I found this far more engrossing than Seventh Seal.
This film was incredibly striking to me because I understood every minute and could relate it all to my own life. I've felt all the feelings, thought all the thoughts, touched all the madness and emotions myself.
Now officially ranking as one of my all-time favorite films.
