Review of Persona (1966) by Luis Angel G — 14 Nov 2007
Calling this a lesbian film would be a far too easy answer. Calling this a mystery would be to be very lazy. Calling this surreal nonsense would be to overlook the film's emotional impact. This is everything, even though nothing is explained.
This is the truth of cinema explained through the eyes of two women who don't understand anything. This is a poem, a masterpiece, but a very human story nevertheless.
