Review of Persona (1966) by Nathan F — 07 Dec 2008
Fascinating film from Bergman; transcendent in its cinematography (its original title); Bergman has a tendency in films to project inner psychological machinery and traumas via his characters; and that's what's happening here; if your subconscious and conscious, frontal and temporal lobes, and certain aspects of the personality warring in your head grew arms and legs, they'd be welcome here; an intriguing, experimental, and likewise creepy film.
