Review of Persona (1966) by Brad S — 20 Sep 2014
A masterpiece from Ingmar Bergman, the film is both challenging and rewarding. It follows the relationship between a nurse and her patient who ha stopped talking, but there are a lot of themes that Bergman is intent on exploring.
The film is a stylistic tour-de-force with great acting from Andersson and Ullman. The cinematography by Sven Nykvist is amongst the best I've seen. This film is a MUST for all serious film buffs!
