Review of Persona (1966) by Kate J — 31 Aug 2008
What might seem like an experimental art film is in fact a brilliant study of character or "persona" as played out by Liv Ullmann and Bibi Andersson. The gradual merging of the two characters and the way in which they move between shadow and light, reality and dreams is fascinating.
And all brought out by some stunning black and white photography with images that stain the mind.
