Review of Persepolis (2007) by Jake B — 21 Sep 2009
Brilliant. Along with waltz with bashir this film proves that animation can still serve as an adult medium. Aesthetically beautiful, with enough scenes explaining the history to ensure those ignorant of it (such as myself) can keep up, Persepolis manages to mix art and politics in a way which is becoming increasingly rare.
