The movie is a great complement to the book and bring home the point of the cruelty of the Iranian revolution. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions", no matter what the naive idealists who started it will say.
The last scene, where the grown Marjane states "Freedom has a price", is sad, chilling, and so true.
