Review of Persepolis (2007) by Tuukka P — 08 Dec 2010
Artistic black and white animation about Marjane who grows up in Iran during the Islamic revolution. Based on a comic of similiar visual style this biographical film has its moments but somehow the middle section in Austria isn't quite working.
Otherwise this definitely is a different kind of animation and a justified historic lesson of Iran.
