Review of Persepolis (2007) by Wesley D — 31 Jul 2011
One of the best animated films ever constructed. It's swimming with personality and depth and offers a personal view to something that has been discussed as a hot topic by politicians. It's a window into the life of another person.
The animation is BEAUTIFUL and the characters seem as living and breathing as any character on film can be. The brilliance with the black and white animation can't be overstated. The transition about this being the story of one person to it being one of people, it's artistic genius.
Incredibly inspired and well worth your time, you owe it to yourself.
