Review of Persepolis (2007) by Jeff S — 04 Dec 2011
Perfection. I really can't say there were any parts of this film I disliked; the cartoony atmosphere combined with the coming-of-age humour helped dumb down what was essentially a serious film about Iranian politics, civil revolution and war.
If there was ever a lesson about how easy we have it in our western culture, it is to be found here. Ultimately you will learn just how large of a role your surroundings will play in shaping who you will become, and how nothing and nobody is perfect.
