Review of Persepolis (2007) by Stacy M — 15 Jan 2012
I loved this animated film. Marjane's life is a great coming of age story, showing that although she is Iranian, she still has to deal with many of the same issues adolescents have to face all over the world.
Marjane's interactions with music and her grandma are probably my favorite parts. I couldn't help but smile seeing the younger Marjane wearing her Punk is not dead jacket with a Michael Jackson button.
