Review of Persepolis (2007) by Niloo R — 19 Aug 2012
This film was so cathartic for me - everything from the animation to the story to the characters somehow resonated with me. even though the story was very personal and didn't relate to me in it's details (because of the generational gap) it still evoked that universal essence of separation from home at a young age and reintegration into a familiar yet alien culture.
marjane satrapi really inspired me with this film and showed me that iranian women really do have a place in today's international film industry.
