Review of Persepolis (2007) by Keegan O — 20 Nov 2012
I was expecting this film to be a lot like the graphic novel, and it truly was. Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud have crafted a beautiful and powerful film, showcasing plenty of suspense, violence, emotion, and a good amount of humor.
This is, without a doubt, the best book to film adaptation I have ever seen. Also, the black and white imagery, and what few colored images are in this film, are bold and very well crafted.
