Review of Persepolis (2007) by Ben L — 26 Feb 2012
A beautiful film following the turbulent life of young Marjane growing up during the Islamic revolution in Iran and facing the brutal dictatorship of the Shah and later the Ayatollah. It explores the hardships faced by the women of Iran and the hardships of a young woman in a foreign land.
One of the most enjoyable and emotionally moving films I have ever seen.
