Review of Performance (1970) by Andrew U — 24 Feb 2008
Interesting first act, unconventional editing. But as soon as Jagger enters the film, it becomes completely uninteresting, and for some reason even abandons the jump-cut style of the first act for a slower, more conventional edit.
Not one of Roeg's best...though, I fully realize I'm going against the critical consensus when I say this.
