Review of Perfect Sense (2011) by Panta O — 23 Feb 2012
This movie was....strange. I thought the whole pandemic commencement was random, unexplained and convenient and the characters infected with the virus seemed to act so bizarre in relation to it - at least it seemed that way to me.
I did enjoy the movie however. I thought that Eva Green and Ewan McGregor were exquisite and their love story was so unique, raw and believable - there is a scene where they lie in bed and their faces align in such a creative stylistic way that it was mesmerizing.
Overall, its atmosphere and philosophy appealed to me, but it wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be, and I can't get past how alienated it made me feel at times.
