Review of Perfect Sense (2011) by Aidan H — 01 May 2012
Making good use of its small budget and A-list stars, PS is a moderately intelligent and thought-provoking sci-fi with a unique take on the apocalypse. However, Green and McGregor's increasingly sappy couple are as odorless and tasteless as the ensuing global virus itself and cannot prevent the movie from floundering in the second half.
An interesting premise (love at the end of the world) but muddled scripting renders it less than absorbing. allegorically or otherwise.
