It's obvious that "Perfect Sense" has some flaws and that, at the end, you are left with a "too sweet" taste in your mouth, but the film makes a very interesting study on humanity, on our ability to adapt and our determination to survive. What I miss is a better approach on the reasons that move us: why do we go on no matter what? Is this strength or just fear ? Unsure of what comes next and doubtful if there's actually a "sequel", don't we just keep walking?

"Those who believe that life will go on somehow...

... or just don't know what else to do.

They concentrate on the things that are important to them.".

Considering each one's characteristics and differences, "Perfect Sense" would be somewhere between "Blindness" and "Melancholia", passing by "Never Let Me Go". Way more absorbing and superior to Fernando Meirelles's adaptation of Saramago's Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira and with a love story that finds parallels with Kazuo Ishiguro's novel, David Mackenzie's film predicates the end of the world with an optimistic perspective that Lars von Trier could never conceive.

3 or 3/5 stars.
