Review of Perfect Sense (2011) by Delilah K — 07 Jul 2012
This is an end of the world movie that is a lot more realistic than most. There is no action hero who saves the day, no last minute saviour in the form of an attractive scientist, just people adapting and moving on until that is everything is lost.
It's let down a little by a few ideas such as the extreme emotions felt before each loss which could have come off as frightening but instead seems a bit silly. It earns points though by basing people's reactions and how the world deals with these losses purely in reality.
Plus the scene when hearing is lost is exceptional, plunging the viewer into a world of silence also.
