Seems like people really like or really dislike this. Given its originality and a very lovely Eva Green, I found myself part of the former group. A love story is intertwined with a mysterious disease that causes, among short outbursts of specific behaviors, loss of the senses one by one.

As I say, Green is damn gorgeous. I couldn't make up my mind on this early on, but by the end, I'm convinced if I am a big fashion magazine guy, she's filling my pages. Great face, great eyes, great everything. Plus, she seems like a pretty good actress. Hard to gauge from one performance, but saw nice things about her on imdb. Usually not into McGregor at all, but even he was pretty good in this.

Interesting plot. Disease hits on a worldwide scale and the first sense to go is smell. Easy enough. We use it a lot, but can basically live normal lives without it. Then taste. Then hearing. Then sight. Obviously, each gets more difficult to bring back to normal, but the power of the story is that they always try. To complicate matters, each loss of sense is accompanied by other disturbing behaviors...eating everything in sight for a few minutes, going on a rampage, etc. Again, some people, including our feature couple, manage to make it through.

Spoilers: Ending is up for debate, and that's fine. How did the world make it with no sight or other senses? Would they also lose touch? I think it does not matter. These two people, at least, could try to survive with each other. And there was comfort in that.
