I am Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, God of the Sea.

The land by which the god's children's training facility is located is nurtured by an ancient tree created from the remains of the daughter of Zeus. When the tree is infected, a team is put together to obtain the golden fleece to cure the tree. Who infected the tree, and why wasn't Percy selected to save the tree? Percy and his friends will take it on themselves to get to the bottom of things.

"You can't give up on family.".

Thor Freudenthal, director of Hotel for Dogs and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, delivers Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. The storyline for this picture was a step below the first film but has some unique elements and some good family bonding under tones. The acting remained very average and the cast includes Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith, Jake Abel, Brandon Jackson, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Head, and Nathan Fillion.

"Woman, get that fire going!".

My girlfriend is a big fan of this series so we had to watch this. I felt the quality of this picture was about the same as the first. The special effects in this series are fairly good but not on par with Harry Potter. I do enjoy watching these from beginning to end and they are worth viewing but I wouldn't add them to my DVD collection unless you're a diehard fan.

"She gave her life to save the three.".

Grade: C+.
