Review of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) by Porter S — 20 Feb 2014

Being a fan of the books and a film buff, this movie was horrific. Not only did they stray even farther from the book than they had in the first movie (which they've strayed so far in fact I haven't the slightest clue how they're going to make all 5), but the acting was mediocre at best, the action scenes were poorly coordinated and performed as well as cheesy, the effects were watered down and lacking visual beauty, and cinematography hardly complemented the entire project.

The scripting made me cringe at how awful many of the lines included in some scenes were. If you are a fan of the book series and prefer not to lose brain cells in order to enjoy a film, don't bother watching.

And if you do, it isn't worth any sort of money.
