Review of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) by Archer F — 19 Aug 2014
After how much was changed in the first installment, there had to have been some in this sequel. As a movie its still a bunch of fun and keeps clever elements from the book. Logan Lerman is definitely too old but he does seem like the ideal Percy.
At this point, its going to be difficult to adapt all of the novels from this universe but as long as they keep making somewhat entertaining films like this, they just might get close. The goofy premise is harder to believe on screen when compared to the books but it is enjoyable to see.
I liked the film as a movie and I think if people can see it as a film, rather than an adaptation, there is fun to be had.
