Honestly, for someone who has read all the books, I think it was a horrible casting and expected more from the story.

If I ignore the book, as the film says "based" on the books by Rick Riordan, I would say that the time elypsis is out of control, too much time in a short movie. Too much action, hard to see what the points of interest are, and most importantly the climax of the film. With all the cash invested on this, I expected much more.
