I simply cannot stand a book adaptation that doesnt even TRY to stay true to the book. There were maybe 2 changes that I thought were called for (older characters = better action and the deepening of the love story between annabeth and percy was fine).

Other then that, the rest of the changes were not only uncalled for but were so dramatically different from the book that you really almost have a new story from the ground up. Hell they even get some basic greek mythology wrong! If your a fan of the book STAY AWAY.

..it'll make your head hurt. If you dont care about the books then enjoy a mediocre movie with a laughable plot line that tries to take itself too seriously.
