This movie is very well crafted. The sets are realistic and the movie makes full use of them. The special effects are even better and look fantastic. The acting. . . is very good! In terms of story, its okay.

If you've read the book, you may be disappointed. But just think of it as how the first book could have turned out. I love the humor in this film and the inclusion of things not in the book. At times, it may seem silly, but all in all it is a good start to the Percy Jackson film series.

I look forward to the next installment, set to be released August 7th of this year.
