Review of Peppermint (2018) by Dawdlingpoet — 27 Nov 2021
This felt very much like an average action/revenge thriller film - there is the woman with nothing to lose, fast paced scenes and some family scenes. The story isn't exactly fully built on, there are unanswered questions but its pretty clear its mainly meant to be a basic action film and nothing much else.
Jennifer Garner doesn't do badly as the main character, Riley North but I can't say its not cliched. There is a fair amount of bloody violence, hence the rating (15 in the UK), so I wouldn't recommend it for young teens but otherwise its ok I suppose, though nothing nothing more than that.
I don't think its a memorable film, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it generally either.
