Review of Peppermint (2018) by Edward B — 07 Sep 2018
I loved the movie and I think the official reviewers can all go soak their heads.
It was a seat of the pants ride of a woman taking revenge for the corrupt murder of her family. One reviewer said it was just "violent escapism with a woman in the lead role." So the movie's basically Death Wish starring Jennifer Garner. Is that so bad? Why do we think it sets back feminism that a woman can get pissed off and start justifiably shooting people in the face?
This movie is good and if you're into vigilante/revenge flicks it's a wild ride worth seeing.
