Review of People Like Us (2012) by Rebecca I — 04 Oct 2012
The story of two people, separated by situations, coming together after the death of their father, to make a new family. The ending was heart warming. There were some elements that just weren't needed.
The possible arrest amounted to absolutely nothing and kinda tarnishes his decision to stay. The girlfriend was pointless except for possibly given him a ground, but if she never came back into the picture it wouldn't have changed anything.
There really was nothing added by her return. Even a scene where everyone, mother, girlfriend, siblings and son came together would have added something, though that might have been cutesy. How it ended was good, but I wanted more for some reason.
